Men's Basketball Plays At Long Beach State In Saturday Matinee

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team begins the second half of its Big West regular-season when it takes on Long Beach State on Saturday, Jan. 31. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. HT at the LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid.

This will be the first meeting between the teams this season after the team's split last year's series. The Rainbow Warriors look to rebound following an 87-76 overtime loss at UC Irvine on Thursday that dropped the 'Bows to second in the league standings. Long Beach State, which is in a tie for eighth in the Big West, returns home after suffering its third straight setback with a 71-61 loss at UC Riverside.

  • The Beach is led by former UH assistant Chris Acker (2015-17). Former UH associate head coach John Montgomery (2015-2024) is also part of the LBSU staff.
