HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (1-2) returns ito action this week hosting dual matches against BYU (1-0) on Friday, Jan. 30th and Portland (2-1) on Saturday, Jan. 31st. First serve for both matches is at 4:00 p.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.

NEWS & NOTES
- Hawai'i's No. 1 Azuma Visaya leads UH with a 2-1 singles record. He opened the season with bak-to-back wins beginning with a third-set, super tie-breaker win over 15th-ranked California's Fryderyk Lechno-Wasiutynski, 6-3, 5-7. 1-0 (10-5). Visaya then defeated Gonzaga's Giovanni Brachetti in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. But, in UH's third match against Washington, Visaya fell in a heart-breaker to 89th-ranked Soham Purohit with both sets ending in tie-breakers, 6-7 (6-8), 6-7 (2-7).
- Three Rainbow Warriors all have one win apiece in singles--Toa Maeda (1-2), Kent Mueller (1-0) and Hikaru Takahashi (1-2)
- In doubles, UH's Maeda & Visaya are 1-2 playing on the No. 2 court, while UH's No. 3 duo of Mueller and Takahashi are 1-1
- It's been 20 days since the Rainbow Warriors' last match on Jan. 10th vs. Washington.
- Hawai'i's matches this week against BYU and Portland are their last home matches until March 26th when they return to host UC Santa Barbara. The 'Bows will play eight matches through February and most of March on the road in California, Arizona, and Nevada. The 'Bows begin their road matches with their Big West opener at UC Riverside on February 11th.
