Ostrowski Set to Compete at World Aquatics Championships

SINGAPORE — University of Hawai'i men's swimmer Karol Ostrowski will represent Poland at the World Aquatics Championships from Saturday, July 26 through Sunday, July 27 in Singapore.

Ostrowski is set to make his World Championships debut, competing as part of Poland's 4x100 meter freestyle relay team.

The native of Strachoin, Poland competed in this year's NCAA Championships where he set a new school record in the 100 free with a time of 42.31. At the Big West Championships, he contributed to all five of UH's program and conference records—including the 50 free, 100 free, and with the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay teams—while earning a team-high seven all-conference honors, matching his career best.

He picked up his first conference weekly honor on (Nov. 26, 2024) after he shattered the program and Roberson & Lindley Aquatics Center records in the 200 free with a time of 1:34.36 at the SMU Invitational.

Ostrowski has previously represented Poland on the international stage, including appearances at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the 2022 European Championships, the FINA World Cup and the FINA World Swimming Championships.
