LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team posted a 13-over 301 in Round 2 of the Big West Championship Monday at Spanish Trail Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine have a 36-hole total of 611, good for eighth place entering Tuesday's final round. Cal State Fullerton continues to hold the lead in the team standings at 574 followed by Long Beach State (584), UC Irvine (589), and UC Davis (592).
Fullerton's Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith shot the low round of the day at 7-under 65 and has a one-stroke lead at 4-under 140 over Long Beach State's Janae Leovao while the Beach's Erin Lee is two stroke back.
UH's
Varnika S. Achanta carded the team's best round at even par 72 and is tied for 15
th place at 5-over 149.
Sofina Firouzi shot 1-over 73 and is tied for 20
th at 6-over 150.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine are

st).
The championship concludes on Tuesday with split tees at No. 1 and 10 beginning at 8:00 a.m. PT. UH will be paired with UC Riverside and Cal State Bakersfield.
