Men's Basketball Closes Big West Regular Season At CSUN

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team faces CSUN in a regular-season finale with huge postseason implications for the Rainbow Warriors. Tipoff fis 5:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. HT on Saturday March 8 at the Premier America Credit Union Arena.

UH is currently in a tie for eighth in the Big West standings with Cal Poly, a half game behind seventh place CSU Bakersfield. A win over CSUN or a loss by Cal Poly at Long Beach State secures UH one of the eight spots in next week's Big West Championship in Henderson, Nev.

GAME STORY LINES

UH is coming off a 76-64 loss at CSU Bakersfield while CSUN dropped a 94-79 decision at UC Riverside on Thursday.
Gytis Nemeiksa scored 21 points off the bench in the loss to the Roadrunners, his fifth 20+ point game this season.
CSUN won the first meeting, 83-60, on Jan. 16 in Honolulu, marking UH's largest margin of defeat ever in a Big West home game.
CSUN leads the Big West and ranks 5th nationally in rebound margin (+8.5). UH is second in the Big West and 30th in the NCAA at +5.6.
The Matadors also rank in the top 25 nationally in assists (16.7) and FG% defense (.403)
