HONOLULU – After enjoying a bye week, the No. 15 University of Hawai'i beach volleyball team returns to competition with the Heineken Queen's Cup, March 6-8, at Queen's Beach. Joining the No. 15 BeachBows are Chaminade, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, Tulane and No. 17 Washington. The team's will play a round-robin format throughout the tournament, with one additional meeting between UH and USF during the weekend.
Playing for the first time in nearly two weeks, the BeachBows (0-6) are seeking their first victory of the season after an opening weekend in February that saw them face five of the top six teams in the nation.

Hawai'i Ties: Tulane is lead by head coach Eyal ZImet...Zimet was an all-conference outside hitter for the Rainbow Warriors (2000-03) and was part of the 2002 that captured the national title...Punahou graduate Taylor Crabb is a first-year assistant coach with Saint Mary's...Crabb is former National Player of the Year before enjoying a stellar professional beach career.
All-Time Series Records: Chaminade will be making its second straight appearance in the Queen's Cup…last year, UH blanked the Silverswords in what was their first collegiate season…UH is a perfect 8-0 against Saint Mary's, including 7-0 in Honolulu…the team's have meet in each of the previous three seasons…UH will face San Francisco for the first time in 10 years…the BeachBows won the previous two meetings in 2014 and '15 in shutout fashion…UH and Tulane will meet for just the second time ever on the sand….the BeachBows beat the Green Wave, 4-1, in a neutral site match in Florida in 2016…Hawai'i is 9-1 all-time against Washington, including 5-0 in Honolulu…the last meeting was a tight 3-2 UH win in the 2023 Queen's Cup.
Versus Ranked Squads: Washington is the lone ranked squad in this year's Queen's Cup field…UH is 104-99 (.512) all-time vs ranked squads, including 45-41 (.523) at home…UH has gone 0-6 against ranked teams his year, facing six of the top 11 teams in the country in the season-opening Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic.
Versus Unranked Squads: UH is 148-4 (.974) all-time vs unranked squads, including 65-1 at home…the lone home loss came in 2023 when the BeachBows fell to Cal Poly in the semifinals of the Big West Championship…..UH enjoyed 105 straight wins against unranked opponents between 2013 and 2022.
