HONOLULU--The 7-th-ranked University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (7-5, 5-1 Big West) returns home to host their final two home matches of the season. Hawai'i has a pivotal week ahead as they batlle a pair of ranked Big West opponents. UH will first take on 51st-ranked Cal Poly (13-3, 3-1 Big West) on Wednesday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. HT. The 'Bows will celebrate Senior Day against No. 50 UC Santa Barbara (5-8, 1-0 Big West).on Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. HT. UH seniors

#70 HAWAI'I RAINBOW WAHINE (7-5, 5-1 Big West)
• Last week the Rainbow Wahine were on a three-match road trip. UH opened with a tough 4-3 loss at UC Davis, but the 'Bows bounced back to defeat Cal State Fullerton, 4-3 and then upset #59 Long Beach State 5-2.
• The win over The Beach propelled the 'Bows into this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings debuting at No. 70. It is the first time since the UH women have been ranked since April 18, 2023 when UH was ranked at No. 67. That season, UH won both the Big West regular season and BW Championship titles for the first time.

Joelle Lanz leads UH into the week with a team-best 8-3 singles record. The versatile Lanz has played on the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 courts, but has locked down the No. 6 spot with a 6-1 record and has won her last four-straight matches at No. 6.

Nikola Homolkova enters this week with a 7-4 record. She has recorded a 4-1 record at No. 2 and a 3-3 mark on the No. 3 court. She has won six of her last eight decisions
• Freshman
Makeilah Nepomuceno has come through in the clutch, clinching the last two matches on the road with wins on the No. 5 court. She fought back to capture both matches in three sets. Overall the rookie has a 3-2 record
• Both seniors
Ana Vilcek and
Peppi Ramstedt begin the week Vilcek is 6-3 while Ramstedt is 6-6. Vilcek returned to the top spot in the order last week and won two of her three matches. Vilcek was one of the key matches at last week's match at LBSU. She was blanked in her first set against Diane De Simone, but fought back to take the final two sets to help turn the tide against The Beach,. 0-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Sheena Masuda and Ramstedt have a team-best record of 7-4. They have won four of their last five matches--including the last two straight.

Team notes: The Mustangs have won 11 of their last 12 matches--including their last five-straight which included a 4-3 win over 69th-ranked Columbia in San Luis Obispo last week. Their most recent loss came against Long Beach State on March 9 when they fell 2-5.
• Cal Poly has a solid core of five who all have at least 11 singles wins under their belts already. Leading the Mustangs is Jessica MacCallum who has a 13-3 singles record primarily on the No. 5 cour where she has an 11-1 record.
• At the top of their order, Kennedy Buntrock is 8-5 playing on the No. 1 court. She has won four of her last six matches.
• Alexander Ozerets is second on the team with a 12-4 singles record and she has going 8-2 on the No. 4 court. Three Mustangs have notched 11 wins apiece--Peyton Dunkle, Natalie Lynch and Romane Mosse.

Team notes: The Gauchos have won four of their last five matches coming into this week. UCSB will face 68th-ranked Long Beach State on the road before making their way across the Pacific to face Hawai'i on Saturday
• The Gauchos No. 1 singles player is Amelia Honer who enters this week with a 23-4 overall record. She is 10-1 in dual matches and has won her last four-straight.
• Raphaelle Lerouux enters the week with a 13-8 overall record and a 5-4 dual match mark. Although she has played at No. 2, 3, 5 and 6, she is a perfect 3-0 on the No. 6 court.
• In doubles, the Gauchos have had 24 different combinations of pairings. Leading UCSB on the scoreboard is the partnership of Honer and Marie Weisshelm who are 11-5 toether. They are 4-2 on the No. 1 court.
• Lily Prodkin and Lucy Lu are second on the team with a 7-3 record overall and a 6-2 mark in dual matches. They are 4-0 on the No. 3 court together.
