Men's Dive Team Wraps Up Day Two of NCAA Zone E Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — The University of Hawai'i men's dive team competed in the 3-meter dive on day two of the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Tuesday at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash.

Freshmen Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo advanced to the 3-meter finals and placed 11th with a score of 340.95. Brandon Shepherd also advanced to the 3-meter finals and finished 18th with a mark of 318.90.

In the finals, Ramirez Tamayo finished 15th with a cumulative mark of 650.10 and a final round score of 309.15. Shepherd placed 18th with a cumulative score of 624.65 and a final round mark of 305.75.

Both men's and women's dive teams conclude the diving championships tomorrow and resume action at 11:30 a.m. PT (8:30 a.m. HT) with the women's 1-meter preliminaries and men's platform preliminaries.
