Dive Teams Conclude Day One of NCAA Zone E Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, WASH. — The University of Hawai'i men's and women's dive teams competed in three events to kickoff the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Monday at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash.

The women's A team of Macie Wheeler, Avery Coates, and Ruby Pickron placed fifth in the women's team event with a mark of 240.85.

In the 1-meter preliminary round, Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo placed 20th with a mark of 257.00. In the 3-meter preliminary round, Wheeler finished 21st with a score of 264.00.

Both men's and women's dive teams resume action tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. PT (8:30 a.m. HT) with the women's platform preliminaries and men's 3-meter preliminaries.
