Men's Basketball Hosts UC Davis Saturday On Senior Night

HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team plays its final home games of the season on Saturday, March 1 when it hosts UC Daivs on Senior Night. Tipoff fis 7:00 p.m. at the SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center.

A total of five players will be honored following the conclusion of the game in seniors Tanner Christensen, Marcus Greene, Jerome Palm. Gytis Nemeikša and Ryan Rapp.

We say aloha and Mahalo to five seniors who have represented our state and the Rainbow Warrior program. We partner with University of Hawai'i Federal Credit Union to send our seniors off the only way we know how, with plenty of leis, tears, and laughs.
All fans are encouraged to wear their favorite aloha shirt in honor of the graduating seniors.
University of Hawai'i Federal Credit Union will be the sponsor of the game, and will be awarding fans who participate during the halftime game with swag bags, including Bose Quite Comfort head phones to the winner.

GAME STORY LINES

With three games left in the regular-season, the Rainbow Warriors are fighting for one of eight spots in next month's Big West Championship.
UH is currently in 8th in the league standings, a half game behind CSU Bakersfield and one game ahead of Cal Poly.
UH has dropped eight of its last 10 games and have lost three straight, tied for a season long, after its 82-76 home setback to UC Riverside.
UC Davis defeated UH, 68-66, in the first meeting Jan. 23. The 'Bows missed two chances at the rim in the last seconds to send the game to OT.
UC Davis ranks 13th in the NCAA in turnovers forced per game (15.5). UH averages 13.5 turnovers per game which ranks 318th nationally.
All-Big West guard TY Johnson leads the Big West and is fifth nationally at 21.5 ppg.
Ryan Rapp has scored in double-digits in five of the last six games and is averaging a team-best 12.2 ppg during the stretch.
Seniors Tanner Christensen, Marcus Greene, Jerome Palm. Gytis Nemeikša and Ryan Rapp will honored at the conclusion of Saturday's game as part of Senior Night festivities.
Following Saturday's game, UH concludes the regular-season with games at CSU Bakersfield (March 6) and CSUN (March 8).
