HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis (4-2, 2-0 Big West) won its first mainland roadtrip of the season, defeating UC Riversdie, 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts.

The Rainbow Wahine won the doubles point with UH's No. 3 duo of Hannah Galindo and Makeilah Nepomuceno cruising to a 6-1 victory over Chloe Vu and Crystal Kim. Hawai'i's No. 2 team of Nikola Homolkova and Ana Vilcek pulled away to capture the point with a 6-2 win over UCR's Niki Shahbazi and Sam Condevillamar.

Hawai'i quickly clinched the match winning the first three singles wins out of the gate with Emma Fogac clinching the win with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Keio Kato. UH's Joelle Lanze opened the singles competition defeating Crystal Kim in straight sets, 6-3, 6-12 on the No. 3 Court. UH's Allaire Berl followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 6 court over UCR's Condevillamar. Hawai'i kept things rolling as Galindo  held off Vu by a break in both sets, 7-5, 6-4, and on the No. 2 court, Homolkova outlasted UCR's Shahbazi in three full sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. UH was up 6-0 before UCR's No. 1 Ramey Yu was able to pull out a third set super tiebreaker win over UH's Peppi Ramstedt.

The Rainbow Wahine continue their Southern California swing as they take on San Diego on Friday, Feb. 21 at 11:30 a.m. HT. The 'Bows conclude their roadtrip at San Diego State on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10:00 a.m. HT.
