Swim & Dive Tally Multiple Podium Finishes on Day Three of Big West Championships

HOUSTON — The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swim and dive teams earned 12 podium finishes on Day Three of the Big West Championships at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston, Texas.

UH's evening was highlighted by freshman Macy Wheeler who earned gold in the 3-meter dive. The 'Bows have tallied a total of 29 medals through three days of competition, including nine golds.

Wheeler was crowned the 3-meter dive champion, posting the third highest mark in Rainbow Wahine history with a score of 367.30. Wheeler has dominated the week, finishing first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive competitions. Ruby Pickron finished in second place with a score of 301.80.
 


Mia Blazevska Eminova finished second in the 200 free and third in the 100 fly. In the 100 fly, Blazevska Eminova posted the seventh fastest time in Rainbow Wahine history touching the wall at 54.01.

Victor Dagenais earned silver in the 200 free, swimming the sixth fastest race in Rainbow Warrior history with a time of 1:36.55.

The Rainbow Wahine 400 medley relay A-team of Alexa Ozment, Mandolin Nguyen, Holly Nelson and Zofia Tyminska claimed silver with a time of 3:40.24.

Grant Stoddard placed third in the 100 fly with a mark of 46.19, achieving an NCAA B-cut qualifying time. Karol Ostrowski continued to dominate, earning his second NCAA B-cut qualifying time with his bronze finish in the 100 back clocking in at 47.06.

Jordan Meacham finished third in the 100 breast with a time of 54.26, and Adam Zdybel also placed third in the 200 free with a mark of 1:36.77. Ozment earned her first medal in individual competition, earning bronze in the 100 back with a time of 54.49.
 


The Rainbow Warrior 400 medley relay A team of Andrew Simmons, Tomer Goldfadden, Jack Simon and Regan Richardson closed out the evening with another bronze medal for the 'Bows clocking in at 3:11.25.
