— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team takes on conference co-leader UC Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 15. Tipoff is for 7:00 p.m. at the SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Both teams are coming off of identical 62-60 home wins on Thursday. The Rainbow Warriors are currently in 7th in the league standings, while the Anteaters are currently tied for first in the league standings with UC San Diego.
GAME PROMOTIONS
- UH will recognize Black History Month, the historical figures who have impacted black culture in Hawai'i and the groups who have expanded black culture to residents of O'ahu. Throughout the evening, several groups will be honored on the floor. During halftime, members of the 'Oahu Choral Society will perform "Lift Every Voice", a song widely accepted as the Black National Anthem in the U.S. Fans are encouraged to wear black. In partnership with the UH Manoa bookstore and the UH Athletics, H-Zone will be selling a special edition Bowhana Black History shirt, listing 12 historical black figures in Hawai'i'. Bank of Hawai'i is the sponsor of the game, and after every made three-pointer, the Bowhana marketing staff will be throwing out the popular Bank of Hawai'i ti leaf towels out to the crowd

GAME STORY LINES
- Both teams are coming off identical 62-60 wins on Thursday.
- UCI beat UCSB on a Devin Tillis buzzer-beater, while UH held a double-digit lead late before holding off a Long Beach State rally.
- UCI is in a tie for first in the Big West standings with UC San Diego. UH sits in 7th, two games behind UCSB and 1.5 games ahead of Cal Poly.
- The Anteaters have won five of the last six in the series, including a 71-55 win on Jan. 25.
- UH though has won three of the last four meetings in Honolulu.
- UC Irvine leads the Big West and ranks in the top 25 nationally in FG% defense (.388), FT% (.802) and FTs made per game (17.2).
