LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (1-6) embarks on its first roadtrip of the season this week. The Rainbow Warriors will start their three-match road swing in Las Vegas, Nev. to battle UNLV on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 a.m. HT at the Frank and Vicki Fertitta Tennis Complex. UH will then make their way to Phoenix, Ariz. for a pair of matches against GCU on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11:00 a.m. HT followed by Montana State on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 a.m. HT. Both matches will be played at the GCU Tennis Facility.
HAWAI'I RAINBOW WARRIORS (1-6, Big West)
• Hawai'i wraps up its month-long stay on O'ahu last week as UH recorded its first win under head coach
Hendrik Bode against North Dakota.
•
Azuma Visaya rose to #44 in the ITA rankings and earned his third Big West Player of the Week award after coming through with a clutch, three-set victory at No. 1 to clinch UH's first win of 2025. Vidaya is now 5-3 overall and has won his last four-straight singles matches. Five of his matches have ended in tiebreakerss and he is 4-1 in those matches.
• After sitting out the first few matches, senior
Quinn Snyder has made an immediate impact since returning to action. He is 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles with partner
Andy Hernandez.
• In dual matches, the UH duo of
Diego Dalisay and
Karl Collins lead UH with a 3-2 record all on the No. 2 court.
• The Rainbow Warriors have played tough competition to start the season--No. 10 Florida State, No. 43 SMU, and SEC-opponent Arkansas twice.
UNLV REBELS (5-2, Mountain West)
SERIES RECORD: UNLV leads 19-13
STREAK: UNLV won 1
LAST MEETING: UH fell 4-1 last year in Las Vegas. The Rainbow Warriors and Rebels have played each other in five of the last six years. The last seven meeting have been played at the Fertitta Complex.
• Illia Maksymochuk by far has the most wins on the team with a 19-4 overall record after going 14-3 in tournaments. His is 5-1 at the No. 1 position.
• The Rebels have two players who have recorded six wins already. Vitaliy Horovoy is a perfect 6-0 playing out of the No. 5 spot. Kamal Karakas is right behind with a 6-1 record all on the No. 4 court.
• In doubles, UNLV's Thomas Navarro and Dusan Rxovac leads their squad with a 9-6 overall record.
GRAND CANYON LOPES (3-2, Western Athletic Conference)
SERIES RECORD: UH leads 10-0
STREAK: UH won 10

• The Lopes have four players tied for the team lead with three wins apiece. Both Paolo Rosati and Nikita Votonski are tied with a 3-1 record. Right behind them are Andreas Loizas and Matteo Lugari with a 3-2 singles mark.
• In doubles, the GCU duo iof Jonathan Da Silva and Rosati lead the Lopes with a 4-1 record, with three wins coming at No. 3
