HOUSTON — The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swim and dive teams hit the road for the Big West Championships with events running from Wednesday to Saturday (Feb. 12-15) at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston, Texas.
The Big West is hosting its first championship event since 2010 and will feature five men's teams and six women's teams including Hawai'i, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, UC Davis, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara. It is the first time in 20 years that both the swim and dive teams will be competing for a conference crown at the same venue together.
Competition begins on Wednesday with diving events at 12:30 p.m. CT (8:30 a.m. HT) followed by swimming and diving championship finals at 6:00 p.m. CT (2:00 p.m. HT).

- Men's and women's swim and dive teams won both Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championship titles last season.
- The Rainbow Wahine are seeking their third consecutive conference championship and their 11th title overall.
- The Rainbow Warriors are attempting to claim back-to-back conference titles for the first time since 2019-2020 and their seventh title overall.
- The Rainbow Wahine participated in the Big West Championships from 1988-1996, garnering third place finishes in '88, '90 and '92.
- The Rainbow Warriors are making their first appearance in the Big West Championships.
- Catherine Belyakov earned three Big West Athlete of the Week honors this season which is the most by a Rainbow Wahine since Laticia Transom (2022-23).
- Karol Ostrowski claimed his first Big West Athlete of the Week honor after shattering the 200 freestyle school record at the SMU Invitational.
