HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team wraps up its 11-game homestand when it faces Hawai'i Hilo on Wednesday, Dec. 10 and UTEP on Saturday, Dec. 13 in nonconference action. Both games tip-off at 7:00 p.m at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors (8-2) have been lights out in its first nine home games, going 8-1 while winning their last four straight. Six of the team's eight wins have come by double-digits. UH takes on UH Hilo in the 14th ever regular-season meeting between the schools. Meanwhile the 'Bows will take on UTEP on Saturday in a meeting of old and new. Former Western Athletic Conference rivals for decades, the team will play as non-conference opponents this weekend, before rekindling their rivalry as Mountain West members next season.

- UH rides a four-game win streak into an inter-island matchup with Hawaii Hilo on Wednesday.
- The Rainbow Warriors have won all 13 regular-season meetings and defeated the Vulcans, 64-61, in an exhibition game last season in Hilo.
- The game will count toward the Rainbow Warriors record, while it will be an exhibition game for the Vulcans.
- The 'Bows are 8-1 at home in their current 11-game home stand including a pair of Big West wins last week vs. UC Davis and Cal State Fullerton.
- A win over Hilo would give UH its best 11-game start since the 2015-16 team that started 16-2.
- The Vulcans were the No. 2 preseason pick in the PacWest but have struggled out of the gates with an 0-6 overall mark, including losses to Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade to last week start league play.
