— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team begins its 14th and final season in the Big West when it hosts UC Davis on Thursday, Dec. 4 and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, Dec. 6 as part of the league's season-opening "Bold Week." Both games tip-off at 7:00 p.m at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors (6-2), picked third in the Big West preseason poll, bring momentum into its meeting with UC Davis. The 'Bows have won six of its first seven home games. The Aggies (5-2) have also enjoyed early non-conference success with wins in three of its last four contests, highlighted by a road upset at Nevada.

NEWS & NOTES
- UH begins its 14th and final season in the Big West when it takes on UC Davis.
- Both UH and the Aggies will be joining the Mountain West starting next year.
- The Rainbow Warriors have competed in the league since 2012-13. The 'Bows won the regular-season and tournament titles in 2015-16 and did not once suffer a losing season in conference until last year.
- UH was picked third in the preseason coaches poll while UCD was picked sixth.
- The 'Bows are coming off a 92-55 rout of North Dakota on Nov. 28. It was UH's third win over 30+ points and fifth win this season by double-digits.
- UH is averaging 85.4 points per game and enjoying a +19.4 scoring margin in its first seven home games.
- UC Davis is led by junior guard Nils Cooper (17.7 ppg) and has won three of its last four, including a 77-71 road win at Nevada on Nov. 18.
- UH co-leads the nation in FTs made per game (23) and ranks 6th in FT attempts per game (31.1).
- Senior center Isaac Johnson has made a school record 38 straight free throws dating back to UH's second game of the season on Nov. 9 (East TAMU).
