SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team's final road match of the regular season ended in a Cal Poly sweep on Saturday at the Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine (11-16, 7-9 Big West) fell into a tie with UC Irvine for sixth place in the Big West standings while the host Mustangs (22-6, 13-3) completed a sweep of the regular-season series with UH with the 25-14, 25-20, 25-12 win.
The 'Bows' bid to earn a spot in the Hawaiian Islands Presents the 2025 Outrigger Big West Women's Volleyball Championship will come down to the final week of the regular season. UH faces UC San Diego on Friday, Nov. 21 then faces Long Beach State on Senior Night on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
On Saturday, UH hit .062 to Cal Poly's .284 and the Mustangs posted 11 blocks while UH had one.

Tyla Reese Mane tied for the team lead with seven kills each. Mane hit .500 for the match and Gunderson had two of UH's three service aces.
Audrey Hollis made her first appearance since Oct. 12 and contributed four kills in six attempts off the bench.

Victoria Leyva came up with 11 digs to extend her streak of matches in double-digit digs to 10.
Charlotte Kelly and Annabelle Thalken led Cal Poly with 10 kills each while hitting .412 and .400, respectively, and the Mustangs improved to 15-0 at home this season.
UH took an early lead in the first set but Cal Poly surged ahead with an 11-1 run and took an 18-10 lead on back-to-back blocks. The Mustangs continued to pull away and scored the final three points of the set.
Cal Poly again led late in the second set but UH went on a 5-0 run to tie it up at 20-20 with Hollis contributing two kills off the bench. The Mustangs reclaimed the lead on an error and Emma Fredrick served the remainder of the set as Cal Poly closed with a 5-0 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
UH scored the first point of the third set only to see the Mustangs bolt away again with a 7-1 run that included two aces. Cal Poly added two more aces in the set and remained in control through the end of the match.
UH will celebrate "Youth Night" in Friday's match with UC San Diego and Saturday's Senior Night match with Long Beach State has been designated as a "White Out."
