ON THE PITCH
DID YOU KNOW?
The Rainbow Wahine erased a deficit of three goals or more to come back and tie or win a match for the first time in program history in Sunday's 3-3 draw at UC Riverside.

A LITTLE TIED UP
Hawai'i enters Thursday's match vs. Cal Poly already having shattered a program record for draws in a season with seven, including a record four consecutive ties from Sept. 11-28. After playing to a 1-1 tie vs. Eastern Washington on Sept. 11, the Rainbow Wahine have posted three straight scoreless draws, including a pair of 0-0 ties in their first two Big West matches at Long Beach State and vs. UC Santa Barbara. UH then closed out its most recent road trip by coming back from three goals down at halftime to secure a 3-3 draw at UC Riverside on Sunday.

» Tied for fourth nationally draws and one of five teams to have at least seven ties on the season.
» The previous program record for ties in a season was four (2008, 2019).
» UH has played to three 0-0 ties, a 1-1 tie, two 2-2 ties and one 3-3 draw.

RALLY IN RIVERSIDE
After falling behind 3-0 at halftime, the Rainbow Wahine closed out the road trip with a furious second-half comeback at UC Riverside, securing a 3-3 draw Sunday. It marked the first time ever that UH erased a deficit of at least three goals in a draw or win, and was the third time this year that Hawai'i came back from down multiple goals at halftime to tie. Nalani Damacion and Penny Noland each scored goals in the first 25 minutes after halftime, and Alice Davidson delivered the equalizer with just under three minutes remaining.

FAB FRESHMAN TO SUPER SOPHOMORE
Sophomore midfielder Nalani Damacion has turned up her production in recent matches, totaling five points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the last two matches at Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside. The Big West Midfielder of the Year in 2024, Damacion got off to a bit of a slow start this year, but has been one of UH's biggest producers offensively lately. She played all 180 minutes of the two matches on this last road trip, scoring a goal at Fullerton last Thursday before scoring a goal and recording an assist Sunday at UC Riverside. After scoring seven goals - all game-winners - as a freshman last year, Damacion is now up to nine career goals, putting her in a tie for second on the team.

SECOND HALF SURGES
The Rainbow Wahine have put together some of their best play in the second half of matches throughout nonconference play. UH has allowed just six of its 22 goals given up on the season in the second half, outscoring teams 11-6 after halftime. Hawai'i has pitched eight second-half shutouts this season - with all of those instances either resulting in ties or wins. Additionally, UH has come back to secure three ties this season when trailing by multiple goals going into the break.

» Just three second-half goals allowed in the last nine matches.
» Came back from down 3-0 at halftime at UC Riverside on Sunday to secure a 3-3 draw.
» Rally at UC Riverside marked the first time in school history that UH erased a three-goal deficit to either tie or win a match.
» Trailed 2-0 at Pepperdine on Aug. 17 but came back to tie with a pair of second-half scores.
» Fell behind 2-0 vs. California Baptist on Aug. 31 and scored twice in the final 25 minutes to tie.
