Men's Basketball Faces Cal State Fullerton In Saturday Night Tilt

HONOLULU  A pair of teams in desperate need of a win clash when the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team faces Cal State Fullerton on Saturday Feb. 1. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center. 

The 'Bows are on a season-long three-game losing streak, while the Titans have dropped nine of their first 10 Big West contests. UH is coming off a 74-63 home loss to UC San Diego on Thursday. Fullerton, meanwhile, lost a pair of home games to CSU Bakersfield and UC Santa Barbara last weekend before enjoying a Thursday bye.

GAME STORY LINES
  • The 'Bows are currently in a tie for seventh in the Big West standings with CSU Bakersfield, while the Titans are in 11th place.
  • This will be the second meeting between the teams this season with UH picking up a 95-86 win in Fullerton on Jan. 11.
  • The 95 points were the most ever by UH in a Big West road game.
  • The last six meetings between the teams have been decided by single digits.
  • Cal State Fullerton leads the Big West in bench points at 28.73 per game, while Hawai'i ranks second at 28.71.
  • The Rainbow Warriors are averaging 61.3 ppg during its current three-game slide. UH averaged 79.8 points in its previous four games in which they went 3-1.
