Nine Student-Athletes Named CSC Academic All-District

HONOLULU – Nine University of Hawai'i student-athletes - three male and six female - have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic At-Large All-District Team.

In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) at his or her current institution. All student-athletes who meet the requirements can be named to the at-large all-district team, however schools are limited to just six male and six female honorees. At-large candidates come from a pool of more than a dozen NCAA-sponsored sports, which includes men's volleyball, women's beach volleyball, women's water polo and men's and women's golf at UH.

MALE HONOREES
'Eleu Choy (Men's Volleyball), Junior

Civil Engineering major
Started all 30 matches at libero
Finished the season with a 1.86 digs per set average and .943 reception percentage
Ranked third in the Big West and 33rd nationally in digs per set

Josh Hayashida (Men's Golf), Sophomore

Finance major
Competed in nine tournaments
Finished third on the team with a 73.19 scoring average
Team-best seven rounds in the 60s, including a 4-under 67 at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational

Tyler Ogawa (Men's Golf), Junior

Finance major
Two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree
Competed in nine tournaments
Finished with a 74.0 scoring average

FEMALE HONOREES
Alana Embry (Beach Volleyball), Sophomore

Psychology major
An AVCA Second Team All-American
Named to the all-Big West first team
Won a team-best 24 matches on the year while playing at the top of the order

Kaylee Glagau (Beach Volleyball), Senior

B.A. Social Work
Awarded the 2024 Jack Bonham Award, UH athletics highest individual honor
A two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree
A four-time all-Big West honoree
Became just the third player in school history to win 100 career matches

Tara Logan (Water Polo), Sophomore

Kinesiology & Rehab Sciences major
Played in every match for a squad that captured the Big West regular-season and tournament titles and finished a program-best No. 3 in the national rankings.
Key part of a defense that held opponents to 7.1 goals per game

Bia Mantellato Dias (Water Polo), Sophomore

Marketing major
Cutino Award (National POY) Finalist
ACWPC All-America First Team
Big West Player of the Year; All-Big West first team
NCAA All-Tournament First Team
Led UH with 64 goals and scored in 25 of 27 matches

Jaime Santer (Beach Volleyball), Senior

B.S., Marketing
An AVCA Second Team All-American
Won a team-best 24 matches on the year while playing at the top of the order
A four-time all-Big West honoree; first team in 2024

Riley Wagoner (Beach Volleyball), Senior
