LA JOLLA, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (5-13, 0-4 Big West) opened its final roadtrip of the season with a loss at UC San Diego, 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the Northview Tennis Courts. 

The Tritons (9-15, 2-2 BW) took two of three doubles matches for record the first point. UH's No. 3 duo of Guillaume Tattevin and Diego Dalisay  recorded their first win together and it marked Dalisay's first win on the dockett after sitting out much of the season due to injury. Tattevin and Dalisay defeated UCSD's Jett Cole and Eric Siberrman, 6-2.

In singles, Tattevin fell on the No. 3 court to Diogo Tinoco in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 then on the No. 5 court, Zach Pellouchoud defeated UH's Sohta Urano, 6-3, 6-1  and on the No. 1 court, UCSD's Carson Lee clinched the match by defeating UH's Quinn Snyder, 7-5, 6-3. UH's No. 4 Andy Hernandez and No. 6 Dalisay were both in the third sets of their matches when the match was called. UH's Karl Collins was tied at 6-6 in the second but his match went unfinished as well.

Hawai'i will remain in California and head up the coast to take on UC Irvine on Saturday, April 20 at 9:00 a.m. HT at the UC Irvine Tennis Stadium.
