FRESNO, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team was still on the course when play was suspended in round two of the Fresno State Classic, Monday at the Copper River Country Club.
Play will resume on Tuesday morning followed by the final round.
The Rainbow Wahine are currently tied with Utah Valley for 19
th place. Earlier in the day, UH carded a first round 300 led by
Emiko Sverduk's even par 72.
Kellie Yamane shot 2-over 74 while
Jordyn Parr and
Wendy Song posted 76 and 78, respectively.
Unofficially, Parr has the best second round for the Rainbow Wahine at 3-over 75. The other four golfers still have one or two more holes to finish.
Colorado State shot a first round 284 and currently has a six-stroke lead over Fresno State before play was suspended. Three golfers shot 3-under 69 in round one – Colorado State's Pemika Arphamongkol and Andrea Bergsdottir, and Nevada's Anna Shultse.
