SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed play at The Causeway Invitational Tuesday at the Del Paso Country Club finishing with a 939 total.
The Rainbow Wahine carded a final round 321 and finished in 12
th place. Sacramento State captured the team title with an 878 total while Sac State's Sneha Sharan won the individual title by tie-breaker with Nevada's Leah John after each posted 1-over 217.
UH's
Emiko Sverduk recorded her first career Top 20 finish with a tie for 17
th after a final round 79 to finish at 225.
Wendy Song carded the best round of the day at 4-over 76 and tied for 57
th at 238.
Kellie Yamane also totaled 238 after a final round 81.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were
Jordyn Parr (85=239/60
th) and
Monica Johnson (87=248/t-68
nd).
Hawai'i will next host the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, March 17-19 at Ocean Course Hokuala in Līhu'e, Kaua'i. After spending the last two years at Hoakalei Country Club, the tournament moves off the island of O'ahu for the first time in its 38-year history.
