SACRAMENTO, Calif. – University of Hawai'i sophomore
Emiko Sverduk carded a second round 2-under 70 on the first day of The Causeway Invitational Monday at the Del Paso Country Club.
The Long Beach, Calif., native posted rounds of 76 and 70 and is 2-over 146 for the tournament, two strokes off the lead held by six golfers, who are even par 144. A total of 16 golfers are within two strokes of the lead.
Sverduk played flawless in her second round which included two birdies and 16 pars and her 2-under score was easily the best round of the day for the Rainbow Wahine. UH sits in 12
th place at 618 after rounds of 316 and 302.
Sacramento State leads the team standings at 3-over 579 followed by Cal Poly (581).
