LIHU'E, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team battled through a second round 303 Friday at the 47
th John A. Burns Intercollegiate at the Ocean Course Hokuala. As a team, the Rainbow Warriors shot 3-over on the front and 12-over on the back nine.
UH dropped to a tie for 18
th place in the team standings. No. 10 Arizona leads the field at 9-under 567 while Grand Canyon (569) is two strokes back. In the individual standings, Fresno State's Joseph Lloyd has a one stroke lead at 8-under 136 ahead of Georgia Southern's Hayden Carner and Utah's Sergio Jimenez.
Kolbe Irei posted an even par 72 and is 1-under for the tournament and tied for 31
st place to lead the Rainbow Warriors.
Dane Watanabe carded a 77 and is tied for 63
rd at 148.
Blaze Akana posted 78 and is tied for 75
th at 149.
