KAILUA-KONA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team carded a 312 in the second round of the Nanea Invitational, Tuesday at the Nanea Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine were led on Tuesday by
Maline Kraus, who carded a 3-over 76 and is tied for 44
th place at 8-over 154. Senior
Kellie Yamane continues to lead the team overall, sitting in a tie for 40
th place after a second round 78 and a 7-over 153 total.
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine stand in 11
th place at 623. Stanford continues to lead the field at 18-under 566 followed by Texas (569), Arizona State and San Jose State (574). Three golfers share the individual lead at 8-under 138 – ASU's Isla McDonald-O'Brien, Oregon State's Raya Nakao, and Texas' Farah O'Keefe.

Varnika S. Achanta made the biggest jump, improving from a first round 88 with a 79 and is in 59
th place at 167.
Emiko Sverduk shot 79 and is tied for 44
th at 154. Freshman
Mia Hirashima carded 81 and is in 57
th at 164.
Wendy Song is competing as an individual and is in 58
th place at 166 with a second round 78.
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with a 7:30 a.m., shotgun start.
