HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i quarterback
Brayden Schager was named the Mountain West's Offensive Player of the Week after his record performance in the Rainbow Warriors' 34-13 victory over Nevada.
Schager rushed for four touchdowns, tying the school's record for rushing TDs by a quarterback with Glenn Freitas and Ivin Jasper. Freitas did it twice in 1995 (at UNLV, vs. UTEP) while Jasper established the record in a 1993 game vs. UTEP. Both were directing the run-oriented triple option offense at the time.

- The four TDs were the most by a Rainbow Warrior since Alex Green had four rushing TDs at Utah State in 2010.
- Finished with a career-high 120 yards on the ground on 19 attempts and is the first quarterback to rush for 100+ yards since Chevan Cordeiro (116 yards) at Fresno State in 2020. It was also the most rushing yards by a UH quarterback since Cole McDonald's 140 yards at New Mexico in 2019.
- One of three FBS quarterbacks this year to run for at least 100 yards and four TDs in a game.
- Threw for 153 yards on 14-of-25 passing. With his 14 completions he moved past Bryant Moniz (791) for third all-time at UH in completions with 797.
- Extended his school-record streak of 30 straight starts at quarterback, a streak that dates back to 2022.
The award is Schager's second of the season after earning the honor following his performance in UH's season-opening win over Delaware State in which he accounted for four touchdowns – two rushing and two passing – and 241 yards of total offense.
