KAPOLEI, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the 27
th Rainbow Wahine Invitational with a final round 290 for an 877 total Wednesday at the Kapolei Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine finished in ninth place in the team standings. Colorado State edged out Kansas State for the title, tying the all-time tournament mark with a 23-under 841 total. The Wildcats finished runner-up at 844. Grand Canyon and UC Irvine tied for third at 855.
Individually, CSU's Lacey Uchida captured medalist honors with a 12-under 204 total after a final round 69. KSU's Carla Bernat was two strokes back at 10-under.
Varnika S. Achanta posted the best score of the day for the Rainbow Wahine at 2-under 70 to finish in a tie 32
nd place at 3-over 219.
Maline Kraus was UH's top finisher in the tournament at 1-over 217 and a tie for 24
th place after carding 1-under 71 on Wednesday.
Kellie Yamane tied for 46
th place at 7-over 223 after a final round 74 followed by
Emiko Sverduk (75=224; t-48
th) and
Wendy Song (75=225; t-53
rd).
