Men’s Basketball Game Versus North Carolina To Air On ESPN2

IRVINE, Calif.  - The Big West announced the dates and times of eight nationally-televised games on ESPN Networks during the 2024-25 men's basketball season with the University of Hawai'i's clash versus North Carolina on Nov. 22 slated for broadcast on ESPN2.

Tipoff for the Rainbow Warriors and the Tar Heels is 7:30 p.m. HT at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. UNC last visited Honolulu in 2016 with the Tar Heels defeating UH, 83-68, before a sold-out crowd.

The UH-UNC matchup will be the first of four non-conference, nationally-televised games for the 'Bows this season. The three remaining games will occur during the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, beginning with an ESPN2 broadcast of the team's opening-round game versus Charlotte on Dec. 22.

The conference regular-season will see the possibility of four other national TV opportunities. The Big West revealed its ESPN "wildcard" games with UH's contests at Cal State Fullerton (Jan. 11), at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 8), versus Long  Beach State (Feb. 15) and at CSUN (March 8) among those in the pool. Wildcard matchups are determined and announced at least 10 days prior to each contest.

ESPN Networks will also broadcast both Big West men's semifinal matchups at the 2025 Hercules Tires Big West Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Credit Union 1 on Friday, March 14 and the championship game on Saturday, March 15. Game time and networks will be announced at a later date.

All of Hawai'i remaining home games will air locally on Spectrum Sports while UH's road Big West games will be available on ESPN+.
