FORT COLLINS, COLO. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed play at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic with a final round 308 Tuesday at the Ptarmigan Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine completed the two-day event with a 54-hole score of 918 to finish in 10
th place. Host Colorado State captured both the team and individual titles. The Rams posted a 818 total while Sofia Torres carded 16-under 200.
UH's top finisher was newcomer
Emiko Sverduk, who shot 5-over 221 and tied for 30
th place.
Focus Jonglikit and
Jordyn Parr tied for 46
th place at 230 while
Monica Johnson tied for 55
th at 245.
Wendy Song, who missed Monday's first two rounds due to illness, shot a final round 76.
The tournament was UH's opener of the 2023-24 season and first as Rainbow Wahine for both Sverduk and Parr, who transferred from Washington State and San Jose State, respectively.
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, Monday, Oct. 2 and Tuesday, Oct. 3 in Tacoma, Wash.
