RENO, Nev. – The Hawai'i women's cross country team turned in another strong effort in its third meet of the year, finishing runner-up with 51 points at the Mountain Regional Preview Monday morning.
"The team ran really well," said head coach
Tim Boyce. "Reno is about 4,500 feet in altitude, so today's efforts were made that much more challenging racing against teams that train at that elevation. So we're very pleased with the results today and it's exactly what we were hoping for this morning overall."
Freshman
Emilie Kirk Langschwager led the Rainbow Wahine by finishing in second place for the second straight meet to begin her collegiate career, finishing with a time of 23:14.60 to edge out a group of five Utah State runners in the 6k race. Fellow true freshmen
