LOS ANGELES, Calif.--The 67th-ranked University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (10-7, 6-1 BW) fell 4-1 to 26th-ranked Southern California on Saturday morning at the Marks Tennis Stadium.

UH gave everything they had, but the Trojans started the match by edging out the Rainbow Wahine 2-1 to earn the doubles point. UH's No. 3 duo of Satsuki Takamura and Madison Kim fell by a break to Snow Han and Isabelle Lee, 6-4. Hawai'i's No. 2 pair of Nikola Homolkova and Ana Vilcek evened things up by blanking Nathali Rodilosso and Grace Piper, 6-0. On the No. 1 court, USC's Naomi Cheong and Madison Sieg defeated Rita Pinto and Klara Novakova in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (2) to take the early 1-0 lead.

In singles, USC took a 2-0 lead with a win on the No. 1 court, but Hawai'i's No. 5 Pinto defeated Isabelle Lee in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Pinto has now won seven of her last eight matches to improve to 9-7 overall. USC clinched the win at No. 2 with a three-set win by McKenna Koenig over UH's Nikola Homolkova, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.

Hawai'i will conclude the regular season on Sunday, April 23 at UC Irvine. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. HT.
