'EWA BEACH, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team placed eighth at the 37
th Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational following Tuesday's final round at the Hoakalei Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine shot a final round 302 to finish with a 915 total.
Sacramento State repeated as team champion with an 882 total. UNC Wilmington (889) finished runner-up followed by Long Beach State (890). Individually, Long Beach State's Hannah Ko carded a final round 4-under 68 to share medalist honors with teammate Angelina Kim at 2-over 218. Kim defeated Ko in a two-hole playoff to capture the title.
Mayumi Umezu was UH's top finisher at 9-over 225 to finish in a five-way tie for 15
th place.
Hyeonji Kang was two strokes behind at 11-over 227 and a tie for 21
st place.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were

th),
Focus Jonglikit (232; t-39
th), and
Monica Johnson (247; t-59
th).
Two others competed as individuals –
Kralyn Salazar (245; 58
th) and
Ting-Yu Liu (258; 67
th).
UH will next host the Ānuenue Spring Break Classic, March 27-29 at the Royal Kā'anapali Course on Maui.
