CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team concluded its two-week road trip with a 14
th place finish at the R.E.L. Lamkin Invitational, Tuesday, at the San Diego Country Club.
The Rainbow Warriors shot a final round 309 to finish with a 900 total at the two-day event, which was won by New Mexico with a score of 844. The Lobos won by one stroke of co-host San Diego State (845).
UH began the trip with a fifth place showing at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif. Hawai'i will take the next three weeks off before returning to the San Diego area for the UC San Diego Invitational, March 27-28 in Carlsbad, Calif.
Freshman
Remington Hirano carded the low round of the day for the Warriors with a 4-over 76 to finish in a tie for 83
rd overall at 232.
Atsuya Oishi and
Blaze Akana each shot 77 on Tuesday to finish at 217 and 220, respectively. Oishi tied for 22
nd while Akana tied for 32
nd.

Tyler Ogawa (239; 94
th).
Washington's Petr Hurby captured medalist honors at 12-under 204 while San Diego State's Justin Hastings and New Mexico's Bastien Amat share runner-up honors.
