KA'ANAPALI, Maui – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed its spring homestand with the completion of the Ānuenue Spring Break Classic following Wednesday's third and final round at Kā'anapali's Royal Course.
The ninth annual tournament, hosted by UH, was won by Pepperdine with an 846 total. Denver finished runner-up at 853 followed by UCLA (854). The host Rainbow Wahine took 14
th place with a 913 total.
UCLA's Zoe Campos captured medalist honors at 12-under 204 while Tulane's Carla Bernat finished two strokes back.
Focus Jonglikit was UH's top finisher at 8-over 224 after a final round 76 to finish in a tie for 44
th place. Also posting 76 on Wednesday was
Hyeonji Kang, who tied for 57
th at 229.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were
Mayumi Umezu (230; t-59
th),
Wendy Song (230; t-59
th), and
Ting-Yu Liu (250; t-77
th).
Two others competed as individuals –
Kralyn Salazar (239; 73
rd) and
Monica Johnson (247; 76
th).
UH will next hit the links at the Cowgirl Classic, April 3-4 in Maricopa, Ariz.
