COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 11, 2023) – University of Hawai'i women's volleyball middle blocker
Amber Igiede is one eighteen collegiate volleyball players invited to train with U.S. Women's National Team by head coach Karch Kiraly and his staff from March 12-18 at the Anaheim National Team Training Center.
Last season, Igiede was voted the Big West's Player of the Year and earned third team AVCA All-America honors after a standout season where the native of Baton Rouge, La. led Hawai'i with 406 kills, 138 total blocks, and 523.5 points.
After training for the week, the group will scrimmage on March 18. "We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with this group of student-athletes for 2023 Spring Training Camp," Kiraly said. "With the LA 2028 Olympic Games less than six years away, who knows? Some women from this group could be repping USA Volleyball!"
