The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (22-9, 13-6 Big West) concludes the Big West regular-season at UC Santa Barbara (23-7, 14-5) on Thursday, March 2 with Big West title possibilities at stake. Tipoff is 6:00 p.m. PT/4:00 pm HT at the Thunderdome and the game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
The 'Bows are currently in a tie for third in the Big West standings with UC Riverside. UCSB and UC Irvine are currently in a tie for first, just one game ahead of UH and UCR. A three or four-way tie could occur between UH, UCSB, UCR and UC Irvine if the 'Bows beat the Gauchos and UCI falls at home to CSU Bakersfield.

- UCSB defeated UH in the first meeting in Honolulu on Jan. 26, 65-64 on Ajay Mitchell's driving runner with less than two seconds left.
- UH looks for a season split with the Gauchos who have won five of the last six in the series.
- The 'Bows have won four straight on the road, where they are 6-3 overall. It's the longest road win streak since the 2015-16 squad won seven in a row.
- The four-game road win streak is tied for the second-longest in program history. Three of those wins during the current streak have come by double-digits
- UH is coming off a 81-55 win at CSUN for its largest margin of victory ever in a Big West road game. UH has won four of its last five games overall.
- The 26-point win over CSUN on Thursday was not only the largest ever in a Big West road games for UH, but also the second largest in any UH Big West game and the third largest in any UH road game. The 26-point win was also the largest margin of victory this year (previously 24 vs. St. Francis, 90-66, Dec. 11).
- UH ranks 7th nationally in 3FG% defense (.289), 12th in scoring defense (61.2) and 18th in FG% defense (.402). UH's scoring defense and 3FG% defense are on pace to set UH single-season records.
- UH is currently shooting 75.0% from the line which ranks 46th nationally. The UH single-season record for FT% is 75.1%, set by the 1995-96 squad.
- JoVon McClanahan has 16 assists to two turnovers in the last three games.
- Freshman center Mor Seck has notched double-doubles in each of his first two starts, averaging 13.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg and 3.5 bpg in wins over UC Irvine and at CSUN.
