Men's Basketball Looks To Bounce Back At Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif  The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (16-7, 7-4 Big West) looks to rebound from Thursday's 12-point loss at UC Davis when it takes Cal Poly on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Mott Athletics Center. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT/5:00 p.m. HT. 

UH sits in a three-way tie for fourth in the Big West standings with UC Davis and Long Beach State following its 75-63 loss to the Aggies. Cal Poly is also coming off a tough road loss on Saturday, falling at league-leading UC Santa Barbara, 68-62.

'BOW BITS
  • UC Davis shot 64 percent against the Rainbow Warriors on Thursday, the second-highest percentage ever by a UH opponent in Big West play.
  • Cal Poly is coming off a 68-62 loss to league-leading UC Santa Barbara in a game in which they trailed by just one with less than 90 seconds left.
  • The Mustangs have lost 10 straight games. Their last win came in the Big West home opener vs. CSUN on Dec. 29.
  • In the first meeting between the teams in Honolulu, UH defeated Cal Poly on New Year's Eve, 57-48. The 'Bows started that game on a 16-0 run.
