Men's Basketball Closes Road Trip WIth Clash Versus Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team wraps up its three-game road trip with a meeting against Pac-12 foe Utah on Thursday, Nov. 30. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. MT/4:00 p.m. HT. The Rainbow Warriors come into the game unblemished (5-0) and having already won its first two games of the trip with a pair of wins at the Acrisure Invitational. The Utes (4-2) return home after playing its last four games outside of Utah, including an impressive 78-71 win at Saint Mary's on Monday night.

GAME STORY LINES
  • The game will be played at the Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz. UH last played in that arena in December 2014, falling to BYU, 90-70.
  • This will be the 61st meeting between Utah and UH. UH has played no other team more than the Utes with 41 of those games coming between 1980-99 as WAC rivals.
  • At 5-0, UH is off to its best start since the 2010-11 season. A win over the Utes would give UH its first 6-0 start since the 2004-05 season.
  • The Rainbow Warriors captured the Acrisure Invitational in Palm Desert, Calif., this past weekend with double-digit wins over UT Rio Grande Valley (76-57) and San Diego (77-66).
  • Noel Coleman was named tournament MVP and Big West Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 ppg in the two wins.
  • Utah is coming off a 78-71 win at Saint Mary's on Monday. This will be  the team's first game in Salt Lake City in nearly three weeks
  • Following its game vs Utah, UH returns to Honolulu where it will play its next seven games at home, beginning with a matchup versus Central Arkansas on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 5:00 p.m.
