  • UH holds a slight 8-6 advantage in games played in Honolulu including a win in 2021 (50-45).
  • The Rams won last season's match-up in Fort Collins (17-13) rallying from a 10-point halftime deficit and scoring the winning touchdown with 1:28 left in the game.
  • The teams have played seven times in Mountain West play with the Rams winning five of those games, including wins in Honolulu in 2013 (35-28) and 2017 (51-21). From 1981-97, the schools played each other all but two years as members of the Western Athletic Conference.
  • UH head coach Timmy Chang was a member of CSU head coach Jay Norvell's coaching staff at Nevada for five seasons prior to taking over at Hawai'i. When Norvell took the CSU job in December 2021, Chang followed him before being named as UH head coach in January 2022.
