— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team will host its second game in three days to start the 2023-24 season when it hosts Niagara on Thursday, Nov. 16 at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

GAME STORY LINES
- The game was a late addition to the 2023-24 schedule after officially being announced less than a week ago on Nov. 10.
- UH opened their season Tuesday night with an 82-66 win over Division II UH Hilo. It was the program's 14th win in its last 15 season-openers with all the wins coming by double-digits.
- Newcomers Justin McKoy (15 points) and Tom Beattie (12) led a balanced UH attack that saw eight players finish with at least eight points.
- The Purple Eagles dropped their first two games of the season with a road loss at Notre Dame (70-63) on Nov. 6, followed by a home loss to Bucknell (73-64) on Nov. 11.
- Niagara, out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is led by Ahmad Henderson II (21.0 ppg) whose 28 points vs. Bucknell was the most by a Niagara freshman in their home debut.
- Following its game vs Niagara, UH will host Northern Arizona on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
