SAN DIEGO, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team continued to compete at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in San Diego, Calif. on Saturday.

Ana Vilcek, UH's lone player left in the Main Draw in singles, pushed San Diego's seventh-seeded Claudia De Las Heras as hard as possible. Vilcek came up just short, falling by a break in both sets, 6-4, 7-5.

Hawai'is Anna Kern won both her singles and doubles matches in the consolation rounds. Kern defeated Long Beach State's Paulina Franco in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Then with partner Joelle Lanz, the UH duo nearly shut out CSUN's Talia Harper and Emma Moratalla Sanz, 6-1.

All six Rainbow Wahine will be playing both singles and doubles on Sunday as they wrap up competition at the ITA Regionals.
