HONOLULU – The Hawai'i swimming & diving team returned to action with more strong performances in a four-team dual meet with Air Force, TCU and Tulane Friday at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The Rainbow Wahine came out on top in each of their three duals with the Falcons, Horned Frogs and Green Wave, while the Rainbow Warriors split meets with TCU and Tulane.
Following the meet, UH honored its group of seniors, fifth-years and graduate transfers with a post-meet ceremony.
The UH diving squad put up four new top-10 marks while also adding three more NCAA Zone E diving standards.
Isabelle Lombardi shattered her old personal best and moved into sixth all-time in program history in the 1-meter competition with a mark of 315.98, also meeting the Zone E mark in the process. Lombardi also added an NCAA Zone E mark in 3-meter diving with a score of 296.40.
Mackaby Pennington turned in a pair of new top-10 marks at UH with a 357.98 in 1-meter diving, putting him in ninth all-time, while moving into the ninth in the 3-meter competition and meeting the Zone E standard with a 380.93.
Juan Gonzalez added his name to the Hawai'i top 10 in the 1-meter competition, putting up a 353.40 to move into 10th in school history.
The UH swim & dive programs are back in action next week, with the swimmers hosting TCU for a dual meet on Jan. 13 and the divers travelling to Los Angeles for the Bruin Diving Invite, Jan. 13-15.
