HONOLULU – The Hawai'i swimming & diving programs head back on the road a four-team meet Friday and Saturday hosted by UNLV.
Hawai'i will join UC Santa Barbara, Wyoming and the host Rebels for the four-team event that gets underway with diving at 10 a.m. HT on Friday, followed by swimming at 2 p.m. and another diving session at 5 p.m. The competition will wrap-up Saturday with a session of swimming starting at 8 a.m. HT.

The Rainbow Wahine head into the weekend with five NCAA B cut times and MPSF-leading marks in the pool, all of which are held by
Laticia Transom. The two-time MPSF Female Athlete of the Week has recorded NCAA qualifying times in the 50, 100 and 200 free, 100 fly and 100 back and sits in the UH top 10 in each of those events. Hawai'i also holds MPSF-leading times in all five relay events.
The Wahine divers have also put up four NCAA Zone E qualifying marks, with
Elma Lund and
Isabelle Lombardi recording two each. Lund also owns the MPSF-leading mark in platform diving.
The Rainbow Warriors have posted seven top-10 marks and six NCAA qualifying marks while leading the MPSF in two events. The Warrior divers have led the way so far as
Juan Gonzalez and
Mackaby Pennington have both posted NCAA Zone E standards in each of the three diving events while combining for five UH top-10 marks. Pennington also leads the MPSF in platform diving. Freshman
Mario Surkovic has led the way in the pool, posting top-10 times in the 100 and 200 free, leading the conference in the 200 free.
Following this weekend's action, Hawai'i will open postseason competition at the MPSF Championships, Feb. 15-18 in St. George, Utah.
