SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team completed the 75
th Western Intercollegiate presented by Topgolf and Titleist in 14
th place following Wednesday's final round at the Pasatiempo Golf Club.
The Rainbow Warriors finished with a 1,174 total after a final round 385. Texas held on to win its third Western team title with a 1075 total, one stroke better than Pepperdine (1076).
Dylan Menante of Pepperdine captured medalist honors and the blue jacket with a 1-under 209 total. A group of three golfers – BYU's Carson Lundell, Texas' Pierceson Coody, and Colorado State's Rasmus Hjelm, finished three strokes back at 2-over 212.
UH's
Matt Lloyd, a San Jose native, shot the low round of the day for Hawai'i with a 3-over 73 to finish at 237 for the tournament and a tie for 82
nd place. Freshman
Tyler Ogawa tied for 51
st at 227 while freshman
Atsuya Oishi tied for 72
nd at 231.
Also competing for the Rainbow Warriors were

Pierce Braun (249; 91
st).
The Rainbow Warriors will next compete in the Big West Championship, May 1-3 in La Quinta, Calif.
