=STANFORD, Calif.--The 73rd-ranked University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (8-3, 5-0 Big West) takes its seven-match win streak to California for a busy week of power-packed matches. The Rainbow Wahine open against No. 19 Stanford (10-3, 4-0 PAC-12) on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m.. Hawai'i will then play a couple of Big West matches. UH will head down the coast to take on #29 UC Santa Barbara (9-6, 1-0 BWC) on Friday, April 1 at 9:00 a.m. HT. On Sunday, April 3 at 9:00 a.m. HT, the 'Bows will battle Cal Poly (10-4, 3-0 BWC) in San Luis Obispo before concluding their roadtrip in Los Angeles to play 17th-ranked USC (10-10, 3-3 PAC-12) on Tuesday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. HT.
Hawai'i's seven match win streak is their longest since winning seven from March 28-April 27 in 2019. That streak ended with a loss in the Big West Championship game to Long Beach State, 4-3. Included in their current streak, UH has swept its last five-straight matches in which Hawai'i has dropped just one set in the last 51 sets in 25 singles matches.
Senior
Gitte Heynemans continues to lead UH with a 10-3 overall record and is tied with
Tal Talya Zandberg with a team-best 9-1 dual match record. Heynemans is 5-0 in conference action and has won her last nine singles matches on both the No. 5 and 6 courts. Zandberg is right behind Heynemans with a 9-4 overall record. Like Heynemans, Zandberg has also won her last nine singles matches primarily playing at No. 4. Léa Romain has won her last six completed singles matches and is 8-5 overall and 5-0 in Big West matches playing at both No. 1 and No. 2.
