LIHU'E, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team fell back after a rough showing in Round 2 of the 45
th John A. Burns Intercollegiate Friday at the Ocean Course Hokuala.
The host Rainbow Warriors carded a second round 306 and currently sits in 17
th place at 598. No. 27 Arizona continues to lead the field with a 552 total, three strokes ahead of 38
th-ranked New Mexico (555).
Aaron Du of California holds the individual lead at 11-under 133 after a second round 67. USC's Shane Ffrench is three strokes back at 8-under 136 followed by a group of three golfers including New Mexico's Brandon Shong and Bastien Amat (137).
Freshman
Tyler Ogawa is UH's top individual at 3-over 147 and is currently tied for 50
th place. The Honolulu birdied his last hole, the par-5 No. 10 to finish 1-over 73 for the day. Freshman
Pierce Braun is two strokes behind Ogawa after a 75 on Friday puts him in a tie for 69
th at 149. Junior
Zachary Sagayaga rebounded from an opening round 79 for a 3-over 75 and is in 96
th place at 154.

Atsuya Oishi shot 83 and freshman
Ratio Visuttipinate carded 87 and are tied for 90
th and 101
st, respectively. Junior
AJ Teraoka is competing as an individual and is tied for 87
th at 152.
The tournament concludes on Saturday with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start.
