Rainbow Roundup May 31, 2021

"Rainbow Roundup" is a weekly video series hosted by H-TV's Cheyenne Sibley, recapping the week of UH Athletics news with highlights and sound bites.

The athletic season has officially come to an end, and we're now looking towards the future. We quickly revisit the big moments on this edition of Rainbow Roundup but can't wait to have fans back in the stands this fall.
  • Football turns in a memorable year behind head coach Todd Graham's first season, and Calvin Turner Jr. showcasing his explosive skill set. All the while picking up the program's second consecutive bowl victory with the New Mexico Bowl win over Houston.
  • Cross country, soccer, and women's volleyball will return to action in August.
  • Men's and women's basketball provided exciting moments inside a familiar home with a new name in SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
  • Women's swimming and diving picked up its fifth consecutive MPSF Championship, while Water Polo and women's tennis added another Big West Conference championship to the trophy case.
  • Baseball, softball, track and field, beach volleyball, and both golf programs continue to build towards the future.
  • The wait finally came to an end as men's volleyball brought a national championship back to the islands laying waste to everyone in their path.
