Recent heavy rain from Kona low storms caused severe flooding across Oʻahu and other parts of the state, prompting road closures, evacuations, and damage to homes and infrastructure. As relief efforts continue, University of Hawaiʻi Athletics remains committed to "Our Team, Hawaiʻi's Team" - supporting not only our student-athletes, but the state and community behind them.
In a swift response to the flooding, UH Athletics mobilized to provide critical community relief. During the men's volleyball matches March 27 & 28, student-athletes from various programs helped with the collection of 3,000 pounds of food and toiletry items. Simultaneously, the football team organized a supply drive that filled two truckloads, while members of both the football and sailing teams assisted North Shore residents with debris removal and property cleanup.
As Giving Day 2026 approaches on Wednesday, April 8th, Athletics will join the University of Hawaiʻi System in supporting students, faculty and staff who have been impacted by the recent severe flooding across the state. Donations to these funds can be made

There are also opportunities for our UH-Mānoa Athletics 'ohana to give directly to strengthening our 21 programs.
